FD Sources have confirmed reports that the Philippine-based team Mapua Racing has lodged a late entry into the Formula Duude Online racing league. They have previously produced magnificent pieces of engineering in multiple fields and have now decided to enter the world of motorsport. One of the head engineers in their factory has also confirmed the team’s aspirations. The engineer, after making his statement, has wished to have his name as anonymous.

“ Yes, I can confirm that we are in fact entering the championship. It was kinda cool because we were working in secret. It was either make it to the first race or bust. Certainly, in typical Mapua style, we just made it in time. “ – Engr. Anonymous

Investment for developing their cars are well under way and said to have either an Italian or German partnership brewing. However, people at the factory remain hum about the partnership.

Team organization, drivers and sponsorship are currently being arranged but is said to be ready by te time the championship starts. A struggling, but highly touted Filipino driver, Pippo, is rumoured to be their driver of choice. The FD sources tried to get in touch with Pippo but he was said to be “busy with work”. Upon interview with regards to the team’s targets, one of the engineers had this to say. He has since asked for his name to be unpublished.

“We just want to be there for the first race in Austria.  All of the equipment should be ready. We just want to finish the race. Build up reliability and then go from there. We hope that the Formula Duude Council will accept our entry into the championship. That is the most important thing. We cant race if we are not in the championship.” – Engr. Unpublished

Many are still unknown for the new team but there was an apparent leak their wind tunnel in their factory.

The Formula Duude Council has since been discussing the late entrant’s qualifications and their decision should be published anytime within the next 24-36 hours.
