Formula Duude - GTR² - Championship

THE UNOFFICIALIEST RULEBOOK OF THEM ALL.

Races:
Races shall be taken every thursday at 9pm.
WTCC Format: Sprint and Feature Races.

Qualifying : 8 minutes
Feature : 60 Km (20 minutes average)
Sprint : 30 Km (10 minutes average)

On Feature race a mandatory drive through is in place, to be served with pitlane speed limiter ON. Failing to serve the drive through will result in disqualification, while failing to trigger pitlimiter will result in a 25sec penalty if the game does not apply a drive through or stop/go penalty.

Sprint races have no such rule and doesn't have any qualifying session, grid positions being decided randomly by GTR².

All races will be started under "standing start" rules.

Point System
Feature Race :
1st - 10
2nd - 6
3rd - 4
4th - 3
5th - 2
6th - 1
7th and below – 0.

Sprint Race :
1st - 6
2nd - 4
3rd - 3
4th - 2
5th - 1
6th and below – 0

1 Point will be awarded for the fastest lap of each race.
1 Point will be awarded for the pole position.

Weight Penalties:

A weight penalty system will be applied if 4 or more competitors sign the Boeing Pact. Otherwise this rule should be discarded.

- Weight Penalty :
1st: + 20kg
2nd: + 10 kg
3rd: - 10kg
4th and below: - 20kg

Min. ballast: 0kg
Max ballast: 80kg

October 13th, 2009. Race stewards will attribute to the series leader a 5kg weight penalty for every point ahead of the runner-up at the start of every race weekend and must be used over the course of the race meeting (qualifying, feature race, sprint race). At the start of the next weekend the weight penalty shall be calculated considering the difference at that moment. This rule has immediate effect.

- Skins

- It's not a mandatory to paint your own car skin, nor download one for youself.
- In case the driver wants to race their own skin, they should be sent to Race Stewards at least 48hrs before race takes place. shakaxd at gmail .com or tibone at gmail .com.
- The use of the skin pack provided by Race Directors is mandatory.
- Compressed archives containing skin files should be named like this: RACENUMBERdrivernumber.zip
Eg. for driver n199 at the first round: 01199.zip.
- Driver numbers will be allocated upon the Pact signature.

Gaming / Router Configuration:
- The following ports should be opened on your router/firewall: 34297/34298 UDP, 34347 TCP
- The player .plr file under GTR2folderUserdata*username* (eg. GTR2UserdataFeFe.plr) must have the following line changed: from Report Mismatches="2" to Report Mismatches="0"

OBS: NoGripRacing website requires a free registration to download those files. The tracks must be downloaded from there to avoid mismatches.

OBS2: No Hermann-Tilke tracks allowed. None. Zero. Null. Am I clear?

Driver Etiquettte :
- In case any driver gains advantage by cutting the track (“the race director has given you a warning, keep it between the White lines”) he must let the other driver through as soon as possible. If the driver does not let the other through in less than one lap, penalties can be applied by Race Stewards. To consider the position gave back the driver must stay completely behind the other car, to avoid Hamilton-like moves.
- If any driver feels any other driver failed to meet any etiquette rules, like cutting corners or crashing another car, he can make a formal complaint to Race Stewards, who will analyse replay files and proceed questioning drivers involved to decide if a penalty is necessary or not.

Cars Rule :
All drivers must use the same car/model, the only difference permitted is the paint_notBLOW_job.

Car N.22 Rule :
If you're driving car n.22, don't be surprised if you get any randomly applied penalty from FIA (Ferrari International Assistance).

Red Car Rule :
If you're driving a red, Maranello built car, you may avoid some penalties even if you do something wrong. As long as it's not a title match and you're not Felipe Massa, it's possible.

Felipe Massa Rule :
BTW, it's prohibited to be Felipe Massa.

MASSSSSSSSSSSTER Rule :
You may try to be MASSSSSSTER, but we all know you won't make it. You may end a few minutes behind, but at least you were inspired by the best. Ever.

Marshalls Rule :
Marshalls are hotter than Mesa/Boogie, but they should be avoided on track.

Wet Race Rule:
It may rain during races. If that happens, it's your problem.

Schumacher Rule :
We please ask you to avoid Schumacherist, Dick Dastardly moves. You may end up receiving a penalty or disqualification.

KERS : (Kick em Regiões Sensíveis)
It's prohibited to used KERS (Kick in Sensitive Regions). Don't try it.

Drive Through:
Just to recap, you must serve the mandatory drive through with your speed limiter on throughout the pitlane. If you fail to do so, you'll receive penalties ranging from 25sec added time to race bans.

Driving AIDS :
Don’t drive, unless its for a hospital. AIDS is a serious disease. Don’t joke with it. Just... don’t! ... but you may use auto-clutch and low ABS/TC settings.

"Sorry, Guys" Rule :
If you spin, you must say “sorry, guys” on the radio.
Always blame it on the car, or the other drivers, it’s never your fault.
Don't be the "Sorry, Guys".

Radio Rule :
- TeamSpeak should be used for radio communication and must be on all the time.
- You can't sing Teletubbies on the radio.
