Donington Disaster: Horta Pipped by Batman as Scuderia ShakaXD Calls in Ozzy

October 29, 2026 04:44pm

Jamie Campbell-Walter wins at Donington while Scuderia ShakaXD hires Ozzy Osbourne after Horta loses to Batman on the final lap.

Jamie Campbell-Walter took a comfortable GT1 victory at Donington Park in his #27 Lister Storm, holding off Juan Pablo Montoya by five seconds, but all the paddock gossip centres on the finish line where Fernando Horta (#01 BMW Z3 M) lost 15th place to actual Batman by 0.165 seconds. Rewind nine laps and Kyle Busch was leading the opening shuffle, Rubens Barrichello was still on track before his lap 6 collision, and Horta was already getting bullied by Belgian sports cars.

Scuderia ShakaXD issued a press release this morning that reads as follows:

Following the humiliation of being pipped at the line by a caped crusader in a Gillet Vertigo, Scuderia ShakaXD hereby announces the immediate hiring of Ozzy Osbourne as Head of Strategic Bat Avoidance. Rumours that Horta slowed down on the main straight to ask the Dark Knight for an autograph are entirely accurate, and disciplinary actions are underway. Furthermore, we formally deny that our mechanics threw empty Brahma cans at Rubens Barrichello right before his lap 6 retirement. Lastly, we congratulate Davinci (#49) for his 7th place finish, though he spent most of his race flirting with the pit wall.

Ozzy Osbourne (Head of Strategy): "ALL ABOARD! Look man, I don't know what a BMW Z3 is, but if a bloke dressed like a giant flying mammal beats you at the chequered flag, you've gone completely off the rails!"

Ps. Rodrigo
