TWENTY-SEVEN LAPS OF ABSOLUTE, UNADULTERATED LAMBORGHINI MAYHEM AT OSCHERSLEBEN AND FASTENAL TEAM IS STANDING ON TOP OF THE WORLD!
Dario Franchitti just delivered an absolutely breathtaking display of raw GT1 power in our magnificent #40 Murciélago R-GT, conquering 3,659 meters of tight, technical German asphalt over 38 agonizingly intense minutes of non-stop action! From the moment the green flag flew, Dario turned the Motorsport Arena into his personal playground, ripping through 27 brutal laps and keeping Lilian Bryner’s Care Racing Ferrari 550 Maranello a comfortable 10.9 seconds behind at the line!
Dr. Emmett Brown (Chief Telemetry Scientist): "GREAT SCOTT! The temporal telemetry sensors on the #40 were completely off the charts! When Dario came screaming through the hairpin on lap 14, I nearly dropped my clipboard into the pit wall because I thought we were about to hit 88 miles per hour and trigger a localized temporal distortion! We didn't even need 1.21 gigawatts of plutonium—just 27 laps of roaring Italian V12 fury, 98 kilometers of open track, and a Scottish driver who simply refuses to lift!"
There were persistent whispers throughout the pit lane about a blue Maserati MC12 driven by someone named Fernando Horta. Apparently, the timing monitors claim he logged the single fastest lap of the entire race with a 1:23.636, but as far as Fastenal Team is concerned, that Maserati was nothing more than a myth or a mirage! While Horta was off somewhere setting one vanity lap, Dario was consistently pounding out 1:23s, opening up a massive 30.1-second canyon between our gorgeous yellow Lambo and Horta's Lotus F1 Team entry in third place! You can't win a trophy with one lucky lap, Fernando!
Further down the running order, Peplepep dragged his Chrysler Viper GTS-R into fourth, while Karim Ojjeh swept the GT2 class in his Ferrari 360 Modena. Even Peter Griffin somehow wrangled a Nissan 350Z into 7th overall! But none of that matters to us—the champagne is flowing, the pit crew is high-fiving the air, and Fastenal Team reigns supreme in Germany!
Ps. An earlier version of this debrief reported Dario reached 88 mph out of Turn 3; official telemetry calculations confirm he was actually doing 114 mph and yelling at a passing crow.
