"I am tapping three islands and a swamp to pay for our fuel surcharge, and I still have to look at this timing sheet." — Shivan Dragon
Corvette Racing secured a respectable fifth-place finish at the Nürburgring over sixteen demanding laps of the 5.1-kilometer layout, though the garage spent half the evening wondering how the timing screens managed to spell our car number as sixty-three while the factory inventory listed three different entries on various shades of confusion.
Fernando Horta (Driver): Sixteen laps around the Nürburgring without losing an entire corner to the armco barrier feels like an achievement on its own. We rolled out the Corvette C6-R and spent the entire afternoon wrestling understeer through the GP chicane while SHAKA ran away in the SunRed up front. My best lap of 1:59.995 was enough to keep the Lamborghinis in sight for about four seconds before my rear tyres decided they had seen enough of the German countryside. Fifth place is five positions better than an early bath in the gravel trap.
Shivan Dragon (Lead Engineer): (+5/+0 until the end of this race report) Grrr! Why are we tapping mana for a Chevrolet when we should be casting Terror on the Reiter Engineering Lamborghinis? Give me four more red sources right now or I incinerate the pit wall!
Krovikan Vampire (Lollipop Man): *Stares blankly at the fuel hose while holding a cup of cold tea.*
