Word around the motorhome row is that Scuderia Libra’s garage was buzzing with fierce, gossipy whispers following Round 10 at Snetterton Circuit. Everyone on the pit wall saw Juliano Flores shoot out like a Norfolk hare on Lap 1, taking the lead and holding off the entire field in his purple Ferrari 360 GTC (#29). But by Lap 6, the juicy fairytale turned remarkably sour. Whispers in the paddock suggest that while Juliano was commanding the race early on, a sudden and mysterious loss of rear grip allowed both Fernando Horta and Dave to slide right past, leaving Juliano to settle for a distant third-place finish in 12:05.520.

The paddock gossips are having a absolute field day with the timing sheets. Rumour has it that Horta was barely driving on the same tarmac as anyone else, allegedly setting an absurd 1:05.394 best lap while Juliano and Dave were stuck battling in the high 1:08s. How someone finds nearly three full seconds per lap on a three-kilometre circuit is the question currently burning through every team trailer.

Before Scuderia Libra could even finish reviewing their telemetry to see why Juliano dropped back, Patrick "Paper" Head from Williams Grand Prix stormed right into the Scuderia Libra garage area, holding a handful of loose metal hardware and looking utterly scandalized.

Patrick "Paper" Head (Williams Technical Consultant): "Look at this! Absolutely outrageous! I inspected the chassis after the session and found three spare screws resting loose inside the floor panel, and the rear suspension geometry was off by two whole millimetres! Someone deliberately attempted sabotage before lights out! I don't care that Williams took the win; this chassis was clearly compromised by sinister forces, probably smuggled into Norfolk through the back of a van!"

Naturally, the press corps gathered outside the motorhome demanding answers about the sudden shift in positions and the paddock rumours.

(Kent Komeu - The Punning Herald): Juliano, you had the race in your hands on Lap 1, but by Lap 6 you were back in third behind Dave's Losel car. Did the tyres go off, or was there something far more sinister going on behind the scenes?

Juliano Flores: "Look, the car felt perfect into turn one on Lap 1. But then the handling balance just vanished completely. You hear whispers about people messing with tyre pressures on the grid, and suddenly Dave is flying past on the inside. I did everything I could to bring four points home for Scuderia Libra, but something felt very wrong out there."

(Livio Orificio - AOLUOLBOL): There are persistent paddock rumours that Horta’s winning car was running illegal setup tricks to pull three seconds a lap on the entire field. Is Scuderia Libra planning an official protest?

Juliano Flores: "We all see the timing monitors. A 1:05.394 lap time around Snetterton is not normal human driving. Whether it is sabotage, magic, or pure luck, the council can look into it if they ever wake up from their afternoon nap. I just drive what they give me."

Despite the setback, Scuderia Libra sits second in the Teams Championship with 86 points, trailing Williams by a tiny margin of three points. The title fight remains ridiculously close, but the paddock rumours surrounding missing screws and illegal pace won't be dying down anytime soon.

Ps. Mansell, where were you this weekend?! The garage paddock tea was freezing cold and there was nobody around to join the complaining!
