In this past week's testing, FD's newest new comer crashed in a test of what looked like an MC12. The Filipino, testing their challenger for the GT phase of the championship crashed head on onto the barrier at Brno this past week. The MC12's brakes failed and the driver lost control of the tail happy Maserati which then sent him onto the barriers of turn 3 at over 200 kph. Pippo was rushed into the nearby clinic for first aid treatment of alcohol and cotton. His condition was said to be stable but the medical wombles have yet to give him the go signal for the next race in Australia.

Rito Rivolto, the team's spokesman said this about the incident.

Asked about the change of number, they confirmed reports that they will submit a request for a change of number from 777 to 19 for the upcoming race should Pippo be cleared to race.
