The famous Nürburgring Nordschleife race track was the host of Formula Duudes Season 5 opening race.

Featuring high speeds and twisty tight sections this track was a true test of the drivers.  Qualifying began on a dry warm track and the four drivers were under way for their two lap run to complete qualifying standings.  The ring caught out the Rotten Tomato's and found them back in the pits with insufficient time to complete a qualifying lap.  Drivers Jensklemp and Shaka stormed through the challenging corners to put in close qualifying times.  A mistake by Shaka in the carousel effectively handed Jensklemp pole position.  After a few minutes to wait for missing driver Mansell to make his way to the track the race director decided to continue with the event without Mansell.

Green light, GO GO GO.  Race began and the CamelToe Racing drivers quickly built a lead on the Morons Lickin' Tomatoes drivers.  After just one lap the two drivers built up over a minute gap to the two Tomatoes.  Lap 2 was a challenge to put in the fastest lap and after yet another mistake by Shaka, Jensklemp stole the fastest lap. The CamelToe duo pushed on and built up a huge lead.  However, the pace caught Jensklemp off guard and sustained a puncture to his left front tyre.  Luckily this incident occurred close to the pits and he was able to pit to fix repairs and loose less then 2 minutes.  Team mate Shaka also decide to do a quick pit repair and upon exiting found driver Tib stuck in a sand trap.  Being a friendly racer he gave Tib a good push out and was back under way.  driver Jensklemp caught up with Shaka on the final lap and took the lead with only several corners remaining.

Team crews will spend the week fixing up the battered cars and prepare for Curitiba, returning to regular racing with an 8 minute qualifying session, a 70km Feature race and a 35km Sprint race.
