Lotus F1 Team has just released the following statement:

Lotus F1 Team is sad to announce that 1Malaysia, a Malaysian government marketing brand, has terminated their contract with Lotus F1 Team today. This move was received as a shock by us at Lotus and we will try to find a new sponsor in time for the race in 2 days time.

Our driver Shaka is at the moment discussing  his contract, currently on a race by race basis, with our CEO and we hope we can find a good compromise and see him with us until the end of this season.
