A common "phenomenon" on racing business, are the so-called "paid drivers", where drivers who can bring the bigger sponsorship deals, get the drive.

This week, Scuderia Libra is doing the reverse, because of the so called "Reversal Gaúcha", so instead of the driver paying for a car, the team is paying for one.

Since the Sucateria Libra GT car is not ready, and probably won't be ready for the GT debut, this week, on Daytona. The team decided to rent a GT car, from a european manufactor based team. While the new car has not been revealed yet, some informations have been disclosed about it, by the SLT members.

Luca Di Guevara :  The team is having difficulties in finishing the GT car, so i contacted my italian friends at Stallin used cars. And they sent me a used Ferrari 550, that used to belong to Team Ferrari Vodafone.  But this is not a sponsorship deal, we simple can't change the paint-not-blow-job of the car, because he have to give it back after the race. So, since we'll be sporting Vodafone logos all over it, i decided to cash-in. And for this one event, the team is being sponsored by Vodafone, and despite no having the name SLT on it, it's a SLT car.

Tib : Well, what can i say ? It's a Ferrari, how can that be bad ?

The car is scheduled to go into the track tomorrow, for the debut of the GT class on the fastest circuit of the season, the classic Daytona oval course.
