The CamelToe Racing sliced some more tomatoes at Sepang for first and second regular races of FD05. Scoring 2 wins, pole position and fastest lap, the party wasn't total just because both Camels had a coming together at T1 for Sprint race, dropping reigning champion Shaka to last place, before charging back to finish 3d glue to Tomansellto on a great second place. With the results CTR leads the constructors championship by 3 days and a half

I managed to reduced Jens lead on standings, but it was not a perfect weekend. Qualifying was under torrential rain and he set a great lap, while I screwed mine with some spins and bad fuel calculation. Race start was perfect, I took the early lead and then was engulfed by Jens and Mansell at T2. Mansell was on a mission and I couldn't get past him in a definitive fashion, he had huge tomato power on his Viper. So I saw Jens coming fast and setting the FL and I opted for a DT before them, so I could cool my overheating tyres a bit. That worked out fine, I set two great laps before them both went for their DTs and left the pits ahead, increasing the lead. Then tyres overheat again, I lost a lot of time and the lead to Mansell with 2 laps to go. Thankfully he ran out of juice with half a lap to go and I took the win, but Jens finished second. Great result for the team, bad for me.

Sprint race came and everyone wanted to touch the cameltoe. Seriously. Everyone. Even Jens. I traded paint with all grid, and finished 3rd after once again being stuck behind Petrov... I mean, Mansell. Jens won, a great result for the team, a horrible for me. Now I'm 15 points behind a very fast cameltoe and I don't want to let him escape.

Well well well what a race weekend we had there!  With a few drivers not being able to make it to the grid in time I found myself sailing around for qualifying.  Thanksfully I did a few laps in the wet weather and was used to the car so could put in a fairly decent lap.  Still had some time in hand but didn't need it as both Shaka and Mansell struggled to match my laptime.

Good stuff and race 1 was underway.  The 12 laps were challenging for me, after some contact with Mansell early on I had to yield and let both drivers through.  After trying my best to catch them I spun and couldn't much of a gain on any of them.  Kept at it while conserving fuel and managing my 105 degree engine temp.  On the final lap Mansell's thirsty engine sputtered to a halt giving me P2.  Tyres were gone, engine was fading and fuel was critical; but I made the lights some 10 seconds behind the leader.

Race 2 went MUCH better, took some downforce off the car and had to battle with Mansell on the first lap.  Lucky for me he made a mistake and I took the opportunity to take the lead.  Built up a gap and then had to start drastically managing my fuel... Lifting very early for corners and short shifting everywhere.  Crossed the line in the lead with 0.2 liters of fuel remaining.

Great race, lots of fun and now it's off to the old Silverstone for the next round of this fantabulous season of Formula DUUUUUUDE.
