This is the statement released by Mapua Racing after a disappointing Australian GP.

"It was simply frustrating." said the Filipino driver with his head down. "My race was just a total wreck.

These were the only words uttered by Pippo after a bittersweet Australian GP. He found himself starting in 4th despite qualifying on pole for the feature race. He led off at the start of both races before mistakes crept in. Looking at the video of the feature race, it seems his car was very very twitchy. It looks like something had broken on the car. Spare parts were provided by ACME. As if that wasnt bad enough, he crashed with Dave twice in the chicane at the third sector. The first was just a slight bump/touch that caused both of them to spin, the second one, a more serious head on Paul Tracy style crash. Dave was a few seconds ahead of Pippo when he spun at the said chicane. Pippo was in the middle of turning in while Dave was recovering and they made contact. Pippo simply had nowhere to go. Major Damage crippled his chances at the feature race. He made another demon start in the Sprint Race and led for half the race before an overthrottle at t1 caused him to spin and hit the barriers. Our telemetry showed it was 0.8% overthrottle for 0.5secs. Telling him this made him more frustrated because he had excellent pace during the sprint race and when we told him to push, he just lost the back end.

Quite frankly, we were astonished by the pace of the Williams of Shaka. We are now officially joining Scuderia Libra and Losel Racing in the investigation of any abnormalities of the FW14, and subsequently, the B194.
